The King of Clubs is a concept to reward the best “Team” results. Team members should have some form of affiliation with one another such as being on the same race team (for example, the Corona or Erion race teams) or be part of the same race organization or club (such as MRA, WERA West, AFM, etc.). Prior to May 25th, each team must declare their members and their affiliation. Each team must have a minimum of 2 race participants and a maximum of 4 race participants. Points will be awarded to finishers following the AMA scheme (36, 32, 29, 27, 26, etc.) and the sum of points from the top 4 results from each team will be the teams point total used to determine the teams result. Results can be earned in GTO and GTU and will count equally and a single rider may score points in both classes; hence the best 4 finishes by members of a team will count toward the teams point total. Purse money will be awarded to the top 3 point-scoring teams as follows:
Any ties will be broken based on the higher best GTO placement.
For clarity here are some hypothetical examples:
Team A has 2 members
Team B has 4 members
